Crimestoppers: Pedestrian dies after struck by car on Parkes Way, Russell (15 October 2009)

ACT Policing is investigating the death of a male pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on Parkes Way at 8.11pm tonight (Thursday, October 15). Although investigations are at an early stage police believe the pedestrian, believed to be a 42-year-old man from Griffith, had stepped from the road verge on the southern carriageway of Parkes Way, where he was then struck by a Nissan Pulsar sedan travelling west (city-bound).

The commencement of the public consultation period was advertised in the Canberra Times and Chronicles on the 29 September 2009. Canberra Airport now advise that a public meeting will be held to discuss the Preliminary Draft Environment Strategy. Crimestoppers: Witnesses sought after City robbery – City (13 October 2009)

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a robbery that occurred in Canberra City yesterday (Tuesday, 13 October). About 8.20am, the female victim parked her vehicle in a car park at the end of Childers Street. She exited her vehicle and walked towards Marcus Clarke Street, before suffering severe head pain. She later awoke in her vehicle to find a sum of cash missing from her wallet.
