The National Capital Authority has recently issued Draft Development Control Plan (DCP) No:171/10/0002 in response to proposals for a renewed service station/restaurant on the Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) site; and a $15million hotel complex on the Kamberra winery site on Northbourne Avenue in north Canberra. Following updates to the Australian Road Rules, some changes have been made to parking rules in the ACT, effective 15 March 2010. Traffic rule changes have also been implemented. The parking changes relate to: stopping a vehicle on a painted island; parking in time limited areas; parking in a Road Related Area; and parking in marked bays.
