Subject: Territory Plan Review – testing of Residential Codes structure
Dear Planning and Development Forum members
As mentioned at the PDF meeting in September 2009, the Territory Plan Review team have been looking at the current structure of the Single Dwelling and Multi Unit Housing Development Codes to try to simplify them. The current draft structure of the codes have been attached for your comment.
Also attached is a document providing an overview of the relationship between the codes and the thinking behind the development of them.
We are seeking your input into whether the proposed structure is easier to use. As the initial focus has been on the simplification of the documents, the policy content is essentially the same as the current codes. While you can include comments on the policy content, the main focus of this targeted consultation is to test the usability of the new code structure.
It would be greatly appreciated if comments on the structure of the codes could be received by COB Friday 4 December 2009 and sent to firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have any questions or require further information please do not hesitate to call me on 6205 0864.
