The ACT Minister for Children and Youth, has announced that grants of up to $5,000 are available under the 2009 Schools as Communities program Strategic Projects. Schools as Communities is an ACT Government program that works in identified ACT preschools and primary schools to support children, their families and teachers.
The government is looking to fund projects where families, schools, communities, local businesses and government can work together to benefit children, young people and their families. Last year 12 ACT schools received funding under the program. Applications close on 12 June 2009.
