Map of Dickson CentreAs you may know the Dickson Centre Planning Project is up and running. This project will guide the future of urban planning in the Dickson centre.

Details of recent and upcoming opportunities for you to have your say are outlined below.

The second community information display

This second information display is an opportunity for locals to drop in and have a say on the draft designs and ideas developed as a result of the recent Dickson design workshop.

ACTPLA wishes to remind you that on Tuesday 20 October 2009 a community information display will be held from 4pm to 7pm in the Dickson centre near Woolworths.

What’s happened so far?

Community consultation so far has involved a vision workshop held on Tuesday 25 August 2009 which discussed the project approach. Participants also worked towards creating a vision for the Dickson centre.

On Tuesday 8 September 2009 the first community information display was set up outside Woolworths in Dickson, giving the community the opportunity to drop by and have their say on the draft vision developed at the vision workshop.

The last consultation event was the design workshop which was held on Thursday 24 September 2009 at the Dickson Tradies. At this workshop land use, building heights, potential supermarket locations and density were considered. Outcomes of the design workshop can be found at http://www.actpla.act.gov.au
