Crimestoppers: Witnesses sought to suspicious fire, Lyneham (Friday 08 January 2010)

Crimestoppers logoACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a house fire in De Burgh St, Lyneham, which is suspected to have started around 9.30pm last night (Friday, January 8).

The house was unoccupied at the time of the blaze but suffered extensive damage. At this time, police are treating the fire as suspicious.

AFP Forensic Services attended and conducted investigations. It is suspected that the source of the fire was around the front verandah of the house.

Police would urge anyone who may have seen or heard suspicious persons or activity in the area of De Burgh St, Lyneham last night to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the website at www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
