ACT Policing is urging the Canberra community to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhood to police following a burglary in Reid yesterday morning (Monday 11 January).

About 9.40am, police were called to a residence in Euree Street after the house’s alarm was activated. A male offender gained entry and stole an Apple Imac computer, while a second male offender kept watch on the street.

The male offender is described as Caucasian, aged between 40-55, approx 183cm (6’) tall, with a slim build and a long light grey beard. The second male offender is described as Caucasian, approx 178cm (5’10”) tall, with a medium build and was wearing a baseball cap. The two male offenders left the scene in a white coloured sedan, bearing ACT registration YGH01Q.

Police conducted a door knock of the surrounding area, and AFP Forensics attended the scene.

Nearby residents recalled speaking with a man matching the description of the first male offender a day earlier (Sunday 10 January), when he offered to paint their house number on their driveways to assist locating their property in an emergency.
