ACT Minister for Ageing and Minister for the Environment, Climate Change and Water on Thursday 14 May 2009 publicly acknowledged the efforts of the Canberra Seniors Centre in Turner for taking up the green challenge.
The Ministers joined senior Canberrans at an event to celebrate the installation of 24 photovoltaic panels at the Centre.
The initiative will boost the economic and environmental sustainability of the club.
