The following is a summary of the Chair’s report from the Hackett Community Association’s Annual General Meeting that was held on 22 September 2009:
The next meeting of the Hackett Community Association will occur on Tuesday 22 September 2009, 7:30pm at St. Margaret’s Church Hall, Hackett.
The next meeting of the Hackett Community Association will occur on Tuesday 18 August 2009, 7:30pm at ACT Sports House, 100 Maitland Street, Hackett. A key item for discussion at the upcoming meeting on the 18 August will be the response from ACT Roads to questions about traffic in Hackett
Over the last couple of years the Hackett Community Association has been discussing with Roads ACT the need for a pedestrian crossing on Madigan Street near the shops. Residents have been concerned about the volume and speed of the traffic on Madigan Street during the morning peak period. This is of particular concern for older residents in the suburb. The next meeting of the Hackett Community Association will occur on Tuesday 21 July 2009, 7:30pm at ACT Sports House, 100 Maitland Street, Hackett. All HCA members are welcome and members of the Hackett community wishing to join can do so at the meeting.
