The GP Development Fund is a four-year bi-annual grants pool totalling $4 million for general practices that commit to supporting the attraction, retention and development of the general practice workforce, through providing:
- practice infrastructure grants to support and maintain the general practice workforce;
- support for teaching and learning at all levels in general practice; and
- support for ideas to attract and retain the general practice workforce.
Applications for Round 1 of the GP Development Grants open on Tuesday 8 December 2009 and close at 5.00pm, Friday 26 February 2010.
While it is anticipated that most funding applications will not exceed $50,000, greater sums may be awarded for exceptional proposals. Furthermore, no proposal will be considered too small and all general practices in the ACT are eligible to apply.
