Crimestoppers: Witnesses sought to unusual activity on Kings Ave bridge (6 December 2009)

Crimestoppers logoACT Policing is seeking information from anyone who may have seen any unusual activity on Kings Avenue bridge between 3am and 6am today (Sunday, December 6) after the body of a man, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, was found in Lake Burley Griffin near the base of the bridge early today.

A white Falcon station wagon was found unlocked and abandoned at the northern end of the bridge.

A crime scene has been established at the location and AFP Forensic Services are in attendance. Traffic in the area is disrupted.

The death is being treated as suspicious while police continue their investigations.

Any witnesses who may have seen the white Falcon station wagon stopped on the bridge, or any persons walking on the bridge between 3am and 6am today are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au
