Crimestoppers: Witnesses sought to sexual assault in Glebe Park (24 January 2010)

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to assist in the investigation of a sexual assault of a woman in Glebe Park, Civic, yesterday (Sunday, January 24) between 3am and 5am.

The 22-year-old victim had met a male at the front of Mooseheads bar in London Circuit around closing time, and had agreed for the male to walk her home.

They were walking through Glebe Park, near the rotunda on the eastern side of the park when he assaulted her.

The offender is described as around 178cm (5’10”) tall, of Asian appearance, with a very thin build and darkish skin. He was wearing a white T-shirt and dark-coloured pants.

Police are seeking any witnesses who may have seen the two people walking together, particularly the male as described, in Civic or in Glebe Park between 3am to 5am yesterday.
