ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault which occurred at the Mooseheads Pub and Nightclub in Civic July 31.
Around 1am police found a 23-year-old Jerrabomberra man in Verity Lane, Civic receiving first aid treatment from the venue’s security staff.
It was established the man had been upstairs, inside the nightclub, when he was struck to the left side of his head with a broken glass.
ACT Ambulance attended the scene and conveyed the man to Calvary Hospital for further treatment. He had sustained three lacerations in the area of his ear, all requiring stitches. He was later released from hospital.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the assault or suspicious persons in the nightclub this morning to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
