Crimestoppers: Witnesses sought to Dickson robbery (17 November 2009)

Crimestoppers logoACT Policing is investigating and seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery which occurred last night (November 17) in Badham Street, Dickson.

About 7.51pm yesterday (Tuesday, November 17) a man has entered the Swan Asian Grocery store demanding staff hand over money from the cash register. During the incident the male offender has threatened staff by producing a syringe.

Staff members have complied with the demands but report that a male accomplice was seen standing at the entrance to the store acting as a lookout. Both offenders have left the location with a sum of cash and were last seen heading toward the Woolworths Caltex service station located on Cape Street.

The male offender has been described as 180cm (5’11”), with a thin build, scruffy red beard and was wearing a white hat and a long-sleeved purple top.

The second man has been described as 160cm (5’3”), with a medium build wearing a bright red top and carrying a white bag.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen suspicious males, such as that described, in the vicinity of Badham and Cape Street, Dickson yesterday evening to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
