Crimestoppers: Witnesses sought to ADFA assault – Campbell (9 August 2009)

Crimestoppers logoACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault on a female officer cadet within the grounds of the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) in Campbell on Sunday evening (August 9) between the hours of 7.30pm and 8.15pm.

The woman is resident at ADFA.

The victim had been walking between accommodation blocks when she was assaulted by an unknown offender and lost consciousness for a short time.

She was found by a fellow officer cadet, and had suffered cuts and bruising to her head and body.

Police conducted a doorknock of residents in the surrounding accommodation blocks and have seized several items as evidence.

Police are appealing for anyone within the Campbell area who may have seen any suspicious persons or activity, particularly around the ADFA accommodation blocks, between 7pm and 8.30pm on Sunday night to contact Crime Stoppers.
