Crimestoppers: Police seek witnesses to unprovoked attack – Civic (28 August 2009)

Crimestoppers logoACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an unprovoked attack on a 20-year-old man in Civic August 28, 2009.

About 2.40am, police conducting foot patrols on East Row, Civic observed three males attack the male victim while he was seated on the roadside curb. The alleged offenders are unknown to the victim.

Two of the alleged offenders attempted to flee police but were apprehended a short time later; the third is unidentified at this time.

The two male alleged offenders, aged 19 and 20 years of age, were bailed from the ACT Regional Watch house and will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on assault-related charges on a date to be fixed.

Police are appealing for any persons who may have witnessed the incident in East Row, or who may know the identity of the third male to contact Crime Stoppers
