Crimestoppers: Police seek witnesses to two serious assaults

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to two serious assaults that occurred in the City/Braddon in the early hours of this morning (Sunday, July 04).

At approximately 12.50am ACT Policing attended the car-park outside the McDonalds restaurant on Mort Street, Braddon to find a 20-year-old male from Kambah suffering head injuries as the result of an altercation.

The 20-year-old male was conveyed by ACT Ambulance to The Canberra Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A short time later at approximately 03.20am ACT Policing officers came to the assistance of a 35-year-old male from Kaleen, lying unconscious on the ground at the intersection of Bunda Street and Genge Street, City.

The male had also suffered head injuries from an altercation and was conveyed by ACT Ambulance to The Canberra Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

At this point in time police do not believe the assaults are linked.

Police would urge anyone who may have witnessed either incident to call police on
