Crimestoppers: Police investigate act of indecency, Civic (28 December 2009)

Crimestoppers logoACT Policing is investigating an incident which occurred in the Canberra Centre in Civic yesterday (December 28).

About 10.40am a 29-year-old woman was cleaning a disabled toilet in the shopping centre when a man entered, closing the sliding door behind him. The man then pulled down his trousers and conducted an indecent act in front of the woman. The victim quickly left the toilet.

The offender was described around 173cms (5’8”) tall and slightly overweight. He was wearing a light-blue t-shirt, a cap and shorts.

Police are urging anyone who may know the identity of the offender or who may have seen a man in the Canberra Centre yesterday matching the description to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the website at www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
