Crimestoppers: Army medals stolen; public assistance sought, Ainslie (5-12 January 2010)

ACT Policing is investigating the theft of four Australian Army medals from a residence in Ainslie last week.

The burglary is believed to have occurred at some point between 5 – 12 January 2010.

The four medals are engraved with the owner’s name and service number, and include;

  • Australian Defence medal
  • Humanitarian Aid medal
  • I raq medal
  • NATO medal

Several items of jewellery and electrical goods were also stolen from the property.

Police are appealing for anyone who is approached to purchase the medals, or observes the medals for sale online, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the website at www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
