Public Information Session: Strategic Plan for Positive Ageing – second stage of community consultations (19 August September 2009)

ACT Government - DHCS LogoThe ACT Government is seeking your feedback on the draft Strategic Plan for Positive Ageing, a whole-of-government initiative being developed in partnership with the Ministerial Advisory Council on Ageing and the community and will be holding a public information session on Wednesday 19th August 2009.

Through the Plan the ACT Government aims to respond to the opportunities and challenges presented by an ageing population, to nurture a community where older people are respected and valued, and to support older Canberrans to continue to actively participate. The ACT Government wants to hear from anyone with an interest in ageing issues about whether the draft Plan addresses your concerns and meets your expectations.

Public information session:

When: Wednesday 19 August 2009 (10.00am – 12.00pm)
Where: Southern Cross Club, 92-96 Corinna Street, Phillip

If your organisation or group would like a copy of the draft Plan or to arrange a briefing session please call the Office for Ageing on 6205 0749.

The draft Plan is also available from www.dhcs.act.gov.au/wac/ageing
or by emailing [email protected]

Submissions are due by 5.00pm Friday 18 September 2009.
