Regent Honeyeater Study Paper

The Canberra Ornithologists Group Inc. studied a Regent Honeyeater breeding event in the Majura Nature Reserve and on the Australian Heritage Village site and published an article based on this work in 1996.

The Regent Honeyeater is an endangered species and as such there is a need to protect whatever habitat there is available for it in the ACT.

There is, therefore, a strong argument for preserving from further development or disturbance, any endangered fringe Yellow Box alliance woodlands at North Watson adjacent to the nature parks and other, similar, unreserved woodlands in the ACT, such as that found on the Australian Heritage Village site.
