North Canberra Community Council Meeting Thursday, 26 March 2009, 19:30 ACT Sports House 100 Maitland Street, Hackett The North Canberra Community Council (NCCC) is the umbrella organization for Resident Associations and Community Groups in North Canberra. The NCCC is the one-stop-shop for Government and the community to communicate. The NCCC is run by volunteers and membership is free. As a resident of North Canberra you are invited to become a member and participate in committee meetings. Clean up your local bush land on Clean Up Australia Day – (1 March 2009)

The Friends of Mount Majura has registered a Clean up Australia Day site located north of the old Ainslie tip site. On their walks to map rabbit warrens, they have found the area badly littered. They hope to attract the wider public to this first bush clean-up. When: Sunday, 1 March from 9.00am to 4.00pm Where: meet at car parking area Kellaway Street, Hackett; visit www.majura.org for a map of the clean-up site and meeting point.
