Wakefield Avenue

The ACT Government will be installing new traffic lights at the intersection of Wakefield Avenue and Dooring Street in Dickson The Government is investing $822,000 in safety improvements to the intersection, which is adjacent to the ABC’s Canberra Studio. The addition of the new traffic lights would reduce the risk of car crashes and cater for an expected increase in traffic as a result of the redevelopment of adjacent land. Seventy-four crashes were reported at the intersection between 2003 and 2007, four of which resulted in injury.
