ACT Seniors Week will run from Sunday 21 to Sunday 28 March 2010. There’s an action-packed program throughout the week featuring indoor and outdoor activities, as well as a range of information sessions specifically aimed at older people. The week-long program is designed to celebrate older Canberrans, demonstrate their contribution to the local community, and also give those who are willing the chance to try something new. For more information and to view the program visit the COTA website COTA Website: http://www.cota-act.org.au/
ACTION is providing free Off-Peak travel for holders of an ACT Seniors Card during Senior’s Week from Monday 22 March to Friday 26 March 2010. Have you organised an activity for Seniors Week 2010: March 21 – March 28? Seniors Week will offer literally hundreds of events for the participation of older Canberrans. Many centre on health and wellbeing, others on services to assist people with real-life issues, such as exploring accommodation options in retirement or understanding ones pension. Why not book one of COTA’s free information sessions for your club or social group as your activity?
