Legislative Assembly: Discussion Paper to Seek Feedback on Higher Density Residential Development Policies

Today the Standing Committee on Planning, Public Works and Territory and Municipal Services released a Discussion Paper on existing residential redevelopment policies in inner north Canberra. The Discussion Paper aims to inform submissions to the Committee’s current inquiry into RZ3 (Urban) and RZ4 (Medium Density) residential redevelopment policies. Invitation to comment: Codification of Change of Use Charge (closing 16 December 2009)

In the 2009-10 Budget, the ACT Government agreed to the codification of the Change of Use Charge system in the Territory. The local consultant Macroeconomics has been engaged to undertake this project.  The consultant team will be led by Professor Des Nicholls of the Australian National University. Public consultation has commenced on the proposed codification process.  A discussion paper outlining the proposed framework, approach and methodology for codification has been prepared by the consultants.
