Crimestoppers: Face-fit image released of Lyneham burglary (8 February 2010)

ACT Policing are once again urging Canberra residents to review their home security measures, following a recent spike in burglaries in and around the inner-north suburbs of Braddon and Ainslie. Today (18 February 2010) police released a face-fit image of a male suspect responsible for a burglary in Lyneham on 8 February 2010. Between 7.30-9.30pm, the male offender gained entry to a property on Deburgh Street, and stole an Apple notebook computer, jewellery and some cash.

Crimestoppers: Assistance sought to locate stolen trailer, Ainslie

ACT Policing is investigating the theft of a trailer containing around $60,000 worth of building tools from Ainslie yesterday (Tuesday 2 February). About 7.30am, police were called to a residence in Paterson Street where a blue work trailer with ACT registration was stolen. The owner had last seen the trailer at 5pm Monday (1 February) where it was parked on the nature strip in front of his Ainslie house.

Crimestoppers: Witnesses sought to aggravated robbery/assault, Acton

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery and assault which occurred in Acton early today (Friday, January 29). Around 5am, the 22-year-old man was assaulted in Childers Street by another man. The victim was struck and kicked several times, causing swelling and lacerations to his face. His wallet and contents as well as his passport were stolen.
