New Waste Disposal Charges in effect as of 1 July 2009

The ACT Department of the Territory and Municipal Services has increased domestic and commercial waste disposal charges from 1 July 2009. This is the first price increase since 2005 and the departmental representatives claim that these new charges reflect the true cost of sending waste to landfill according to ABC News Online
