Crimestoppers: Witnesses sought to aggravated robbery – Ainslie (30 September 2009)

Crimestoppers logoACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery that occurred in Ainslie Wednesday, 30 September 2009.

About 6.45pm, the female victim parked her vehicle in her home driveway. When she exited the vehicle, she was pushed to the ground by two male offenders. One offender demanded her handbag and snatched it from her hand.

Both offenders ran towards Majura Ave, escaping with a sum of cash. The victim was uninjured and reported the incident to police a short time later.

The first male was described as in his early 20’s, approximately 183cm (6’) tall, of a slim build, wearing dark clothing and either a dark baseball cap or a black beanie.

The second male is described as being of a similar age and height, with a slightly heavier build and wearing similar clothing but no hat.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen suspicious people matching the above descriptions in the Ainslie area to contact Crime Stoppers
