Crimestoppers: Witnesses sought to theft of photographic equipment – Dickson (31 July 2009)

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an incident Friday, July 31, 2009 in which a Mazda vehicle parked in Dickson had been broken into and photographic equipment valued around $25,000 stolen from it. The vehicle, a Mazda Tribute, had been parked and secured in the public carpark bounded by Woolley and Cape Streets in Dickson between 6.15pm and 6.45pm.

Crimestoppers: Police warn residents of carpark intruders – Braddon (30-31 July 2009)

ACT Policing has issued a further warning to car owners with parking in multi-storey buildings about their need to pay close attention to security after burglars targeted vehicles parked in a Braddon complex this week. Between noon Thursday, July 30 and 10.30am Friday, July 31, two intruders entered the underground carpark of an Ijong St, Braddon apartment complex.

Invitation to comment: Proposal for legislation to increase the energy efficiency of Canberra's hot water services

Crimestoppers: Police investigating three bus incidents – Braddon, Civic and Monash (22 July 2009)

ACT Policing is investigating three separate incidents involving ACTION buses since Wednesday night July 22. About 8.40pm on Wednesday, the driver of a bus travelling southbound on Gooreen Street, Braddon noticed a white sedan travelling in the opposite direction. As the car passed, an object struck the front windscreen of the bus causing impact damage however, the object did not penetrate the windscreen. About 9pm, police attended the Civic bus interchange at East Row in response to a report of property damage. Crimestoppers: Police investigating Civic armed robbery – City (22 July 2009)

ACT Policing is currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Ticketek outlet on Akuna Street in Civic earlier this afternoon (July 22). Around 1.20pm the man entered the premises and passed a note to the attendant, demanding money whilst threatening her that he had a gun. He then fled the store after an amount of cash was passed to him. The staff member did not see the gun, and was not injured during the incident.
