Canberra Seniors Centre logoCanberra Seniors Centre contributes significantly to healthy ageing by providing a friendly social environment and through the conduct of a range of activities.

Canberra Seniors Centre was opened in 1965, the first facility for older people in the Canberra area. It is located on Community Facilities land in Watson Street, Turner. It is a relatively quiet street with parking and parklands opposite.

Membership of the Centre is open to people aged 50 or over. The current membership is over 370 with members coming from all areas of Canberra.

The Centre provides a wide range of activities with courses in different languages, exercise, painting, majong and dancing to mention just a few.

Members enjoy the everyday friendly social environment. Coffee and tea are available at all times and lunches are regularly served. Each month a themed Birthday Lunch is prepared and all members are welcome to attend.
