Invitation For Public Submissions – Cooyong Street Urban Renewal Area
The Standing Committee on Planning, Environment and Territory and Municipal Services invites submissions to its inquiry into Draft Variation to the Territory Plan No. 308: Cooyong Street Urban Renewal Area (Braddon sections 52 and 57 and Reid section 7 – change of zoning).
The recommended variation is accessible via the Environment and Sustainable Development Directorate website:

Written submissions should be lodged by 19 April 2013.
Areas of particular interest to the Committee include, but are not limited to:
1. whether the rezoning is necessary to meet the redevelopment’s objectives;
2. implications for parking and traffic in the area;
3. the height, scale and associated impacts of the proposed redevelopment;
4. the impact on amenity and character of the surrounding area;
5. heritage considerations; and
6. city/residential boundaries.
It would assist the Committee if submitters could comment on whether the main changes made in response to the public consultation process outlined at pages 6 to 8 of the Directorate’s consultation report (available via the website link above) address your concerns.
