Information Session: Cooyong Street Urban Renewal Proposal

An information session has been organised by Environment and Sustainable Development Directorate (ESDD) for interested parties on the Cooyong Street Urban Renewal Proposal. The session will be held on 9 February 2012 between 4 to 6.30pm at Boomerang Room of Currong Apartments. You may wish to attend if you have further questions regarding the proposal.

Meeting Wednesday 18 January, 6 pm re Cooyong Street Urban Renewal Proposal

There will be a Question and Answer Session with ACT Government representative, Mr Peter Johns, on Wednesday 18 January at 6 pm, in the Canberra Korean Uniting Church Hall, corner of Doonkuna and Coranderrk Streets, Reid. Mr Peter Johns, Senior Manager, Asset Management Branch of the Community Services Directorate ACT, has kindly agreed to respond to questions. He has also offered to take on notice, and forward, questions best addressed to other Directorates. All residents and owners in Monterey Apartments and Argyle Square are invited to attend.

Northbourne Transitway on track

The ACT Government has finally released draft options for the Northbourne Avenue to Gungahlin transitway, as reported in The Canberra Times on December 17 2011. Transport planning for this corridor is a priority for both the North Canberra Community Council and the Gungahlin Community Council. Development of Land in Braddon and Reid Community Information Session

The Community Services Directorate (CSD) would like to invite interested members of the community to an information session on the development of land in Braddon and Reid on 16 December 2011. The land in Braddon is occupied by Currong Apartments, Allawah Court and buildings owned by the Catholic Church. The land in Reid is occupied by Bega Court.

Downer Community Meeting – Redevelopment of the Downer Local Centre

A meeting will be held for all Downer residents, at 7pm on Wednesday 14 December at the Downer Community Centre, to discuss the redevelopment of the Downer local centre precinct.
