'Raw' Landscape Architecture Exhibition at University of Canberra (13, 14 & 16 November 2009)

The exhibition ‘Raw’ will display the final projects of graduating University of Canberra landscape architecture students. There will be twenty three projects in the exhibition which examine the Eastern Broadacre of Canberra and the possibilities that exist there for the future. The Eastern Broadacre is part of the valley which exists between the Federal Highway through to Hume. This exhibition provides Canberrans with an opportunity to view diverse ideas and applications which have been created by the students. TAMS Aerosol Can Recycling Competition (Entries open 10 November 2009 to 04 December 2009)

To celebrate National Recycling Week from 9 – 15 November 2009, the Department of Territory and Municipal Services is launching a recycling competition. The competition aims to raise awareness about recycling and bust some common myths. For instance, many people do not realise that in the ACT, empty aerosol cans should go into the yellow-topped recycling bins. The prizes are worth over $1600 and include Westfield shopping centre vouchers, Hoyts family movie passes and specially manufactured USB drives.
