The Friends of Mount Majura recently made a submission in response to the Australian Heritage Village, Watson development application (DA 200915605)
The key recommendations from the FOMM submission are that the Development application should be rejected. This was based on the grounds that the proposed residential development would have a hard edge to Mount Majura Nature Park, it threatens the conservation values within the nature park and destroys endangered grassy woodland within the project site. The group also made several other recommendations with regard to development conditions that they felt were should be imposed should the application be approved.
